Summit helping the Red Crescent Society that helps the people of Rakhine Crisis

(Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh) September 29, 2018: Her Excellency (HE) Ambassador of Finland to Bangladesh Nina Vaskunlahti, HE Ambassador of Finland to Myanmar Riikka Laatu, Honorary Consul General of Finland and Chairman of Summit Group Muhammed Aziz Khan, Second Secretary, Embassy of Finland Nelli Mikkola and other senior officials visited Red Cross – Red Crescent (RCRC) Emergency Hospital and the Rohingya refugee camps in Kutupalong.
“A key destination for the visit is the Red Cross field hospital managed by the Finnish Red Cross in Cox’s Bazar. In addition to familiarizing ourselves with the operations of the field clinic, we discussed with the representatives of international organizations present here, representatives of the Rohingya people and authorities on-site to gain first-hand knowledge of the current situation at the camps. In relation to this visit, I wish to commend the government of Bangladesh for its valuable work for the Rohingya people”, states Ambassador Vaskunlahti.
