Summit receives award from the Mayor of Vaasa, Finland

(Vaasa, Finland) 27th September 2019, Friday: Summit Group has received Wärtsilä’s Valued Customer Recognition Award 2019 for excellent performance and execution of 450 MW fast track power project complex in Gazipur in record time of 9 months. Both the Mayor of the City of Vaasa Tomas Häyry and Managing Director of Finland’s oldest and largest chamber of commerce - Ostrobothnia Chamber of Commerce Juha Häkkinen jointly handed over the award to Md Latif Khan, Vice-Chairman of Summit Group and Eng Mozammel Hossain, Managing Director of Summit Gazipur II Power (300 MW) and Summit Ace Alliance Power (150 MW). Among senior officials Göran Richardsson, Regional Director of South Asia - Energy Solutions, Wärtsilä, Mouts, Head of Projects, Wärtsilä, Nazmul Hasan, GM - Procurement, Inventory & Training, Summit Power Limited and others who were instrumental in project implementation in Gazipur in record time were also present.

Summit and Wärtsilä share a long standing partnership since early days of private power generation in Bangladesh over two decades. Earlier this year, Wärtsilä announced to build Smart Technology Hub in Vaasa, also known as the energy capital of the Nordics.
